The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court by his three daughters and the Malcolm X estate, claims that the agencies conspired to assassinate Malcolm X and subsequently covered up their involvement for decades. Attorney Ben Crump, representing the family, announced the legal action at a press conference, stating that they are seeking justice and transparency. The complaint alleges that the agencies were aware of credible threats against Malcolm X's life but failed to intervene. Malcolm X was reportedly shot 21 times during the attack.
