German authorities have issued a European arrest warrant for a Ukrainian national, identified as Volodymyr Z., aged 44, in connection with the Nord Stream pipeline explosions that occurred in September 2022 in the Baltic Sea. The suspect, a skilled diving instructor, is believed to have been part of a team that sabotaged the pipelines. He was last known to reside in Poland and has reportedly gone into hiding. Two other Ukrainians, also diving instructors, are implicated in the investigation. The arrest warrant was issued nearly two years after the incident, as German investigators continue to seek cooperation from Polish authorities.
