Despite underperforming domestically compared to the previous films—which opened to $80 million and $90 million respectively—the film showed strong international performance, grossing $175 million globally. This includes a robust $46 million debut in China, with $6 million from IMAX screens, contributing to the second-highest global opening for a 'Venom' film. The movie, which had a production budget of $120 million, received mixed reviews, holding a 36% critic score and a 79% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The CinemaScore rating is a B-, the lowest of the trilogy.
