British Eco-Adventurers Found Dead Near Sable Island After Attempting Atlantic Crossing
Jul 20, 2024, 10:40 PM
British eco-adventurer Sarah Packwood and her Canadian husband Brett Clibbery were found dead in a liferaft off the coast of Sable Island, 180 miles from Nova Scotia. The couple had embarked on a 2005-mile journey from Nova Scotia to the Azores on a wind and solar-powered yacht as part of a 'green odyssey.' Their bodies were discovered a month after they were reported missing. Investigators suspect that their yacht may have been smashed by a tanker or capsized due to the weight of its solar panels. The last known location of their yacht was 40 miles from the island where their bodies were found. The couple had previously attempted a similar journey five years ago but had to turn back due to stormy seas.
