Kim Jong Un Orders Mass Production of Suicide Drones After Accusing Seoul of War Provocation

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the mass production of suicide attack drones after overseeing their successful testing, state media KCNA reported. On November 14, Kim guided the performance test of various types of suicide drones produced by the Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex and affiliated enterprises. The drones, designed to crash into targets and explode, were tested on various targets, including tanks and a BMW vehicle. Kim expressed satisfaction with the newly developed drones and emphasized the need for accelerating their mass production, stating that the global introduction of such drones requires an urgent update of military theory. This move comes after Pyongyang accused Seoul of flying unmanned aerial vehicles over its capital in what it called a "war provocation." Pyongyang first unveiled its attack drones in August 2024. Kim noted that drones have achieved obvious success in both large and small conflicts around the world, underscoring the need to expand their production.
