Huw Edwards to be Sentenced for Child Abuse Images, Paid £1,500 for Category A Photos
Sep 16, 2024, 08:19 AM
Former BBC newsreader Huw Edwards has arrived at Westminster Magistrates' Court to be sentenced for making and accessing indecent images of children. Edwards, who pleaded guilty in July, admitted to possessing 41 indecent images of children, some as young as seven, which were sent to him via WhatsApp. Additionally, it was revealed that Edwards paid up to £1,500 to a convicted paedophile for these images. Some of the images were classified as Category A. The sentencing, overseen by Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring, marks a significant fall from grace for one of the most recognizable faces on British television.
