U.S. State Department Approves $2.25 Billion in Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia and UAE, Lockheed Martin Involved

The U.S. State Department has approved multiple foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) worth a combined total of $2.25 billion. The sales to Saudi Arabia, estimated at $1.046 billion, include 2503 AGM-114R3 Hellfire II missiles, artillery systems, machine guns, tanks, and associated equipment and services. This includes a separate $139 million for additional ammunition. The UAE will receive 259 M31A1 Unitary GMLRS Pods and 203 M57 ATACMS, valued at approximately $1.2 billion. Lockheed Martin is identified as the prime contractor for these transactions. These approvals are part of ongoing U.S. efforts to strengthen military ties with key allies in the Middle East.
