Nov 25, 2024, 09:23 PM
NASA has awarded SpaceX a $256.6 million contract to launch the Dragonfly mission to Titan, Saturn's moon, in July 2028. The mission, part of NASA’s New Frontiers Program, will use SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket to deliver a rotorcraft lander equipped with eight rotors, designed to explore Titan's surface. Dragonfly will investigate dozens of promising locations on Titan, which is the second-largest moon in the solar system, to study its composition and potential for life.
