India's UPI Surpasses Global Digital Payment Platforms with 3,729.1 Transactions per Second

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the world's leading digital payment platforms, clocking 3,729.1 transactions per second, according to data analyzed by Paysecure. In July, UPI registered over 144 billion transactions, amounting to Rs. 20.64 lakh crore in value. This transformation in digital payments is seen as a strength of new India and is expected to enhance the ease of living worldwide. KV Kamath highlighted the need to extend this revolution in digital payments to other forms of financial services.
