Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) reported a significant increase in revenue for May 2024, driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence and a recovery in consumer electronics. The company's revenue rose 30.1% year-on-year to NT$229.62 billion (US$7.11 billion), marking the third highest monthly level ever. However, this figure represents a 2.7% decline from April. For the period from January to May 2024, TSMC's revenue increased by 27.0% year-on-year, totaling NT$1.06 trillion. May sales rose 30% to $7.1 billion. From January to May 2024, revenue totaled NT$1,058.29 billion.
