Trump Endorses Florida CFO Patronis for Gaetz's Congressional Seat
Nov 25, 2024, 06:05 PM
President-elect Donald Trump has endorsed Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis for the congressional seat vacated by former Representative Matt Gaetz. Trump expressed his support on Truth Social, urging Patronis to run for the Florida 1st Congressional District seat with the message, 'Should he decide to enter this Race, Jimmy Patronis has my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, JIMMY, RUN!' Following Trump's endorsement, Patronis resigned from his position as Florida CFO to pursue the congressional seat in the special election. Trump praised Patronis for his service as Fire Marshal and as a key member of the Florida Cabinet, describing him as a 'tremendous' CFO and cabinet member, and a MAGA ally.
