Tennessee to Add 10% 'Talent Fee' on Football Tickets in 2025 for Revenue Sharing, Says AD Danny White
Sep 17, 2024, 03:20 PM
The University of Tennessee has announced that it will introduce a 10% 'talent fee' on all football tickets starting in 2025. This fee is intended to help fund the proposed revenue sharing with players. The initiative aims to attract and retain top talent by providing additional financial support to athletes. Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White, who earns $2.75 million a year, has communicated this change to season ticket holders, emphasizing the university's goal to be a leader in revenue sharing. The fee will be applied to all season ticket invoices, and the average per-seat price increase is estimated at 4.5% for the entire stadium. Tennessee reported a school-record $202 million in operating revenue last year.
