Disney to Raise Streaming Prices for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ by Up to 25% Starting October 17

Walt Disney Co. has announced significant price increases for its streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Starting October 17, the ad-supported tier of Disney+ will rise from $7.99 to $9.99 per month, while the ad-free tier will jump from $13.99 to $15.99 per month. Hulu's ad-supported plan will increase from $7.99 to $9.99, and the ad-free plan from $17.99 to $18.99. ESPN+ will also see price hikes. The Duo Basic bundle (Disney+ & Hulu) will increase from $9.99 to $10.99, and the Trio bundle (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+) will also see price adjustments. The price hikes, which will affect standalone plans and bundles, represent an increase of up to 25%. Disney also plans to introduce new channels and continuous playlists, including ABC News Live, to enhance user experience. The company made the announcement ahead of its earnings report, which is expected to be released tomorrow.
