Franklin Templeton Files $1.5 Trillion Crypto ETF Holding Bitcoin, Ethereum
Aug 16, 2024, 08:46 PM
Franklin Templeton, a major investment management company with $1.5 trillion in assets, has filed for a new cryptocurrency index ETF. The proposed ETF, named Franklin Crypto Trust, would initially hold a basket of cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). This move follows the recent launch of Ethereum ETFs and suggests a growing interest in crypto assets among traditional financial institutions. The exact ratio of Bitcoin and Ethereum in the ETF has not been disclosed. Franklin Templeton has registered an S-1 Security Application for this ETF.
