Ukrainian intelligence has reportedly trained Syrian rebels, including members of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Turkestan Islamic Party, in drone operations and tactics, according to various media reports. The training was allegedly conducted by the Ukrainian group Khimik, associated with Ukraine's intelligence agency, and took place on Turkish territory with Turkish sponsorship. These reports suggest that the Syrian rebels, with the help of Ukrainian advisers, used advanced American technology, including drones and electronic warfare equipment, to seize Aleppo. However, Ukrainian officials have minimized their role in the offensive, stating that their contribution was less than a fraction of the total effort. Sources close to Syrian intelligence services have confirmed the involvement of Ukrainian advisers in preparing drones for the Aleppo Operation, which also involved significant jamming of Syrian army communications.
