Nine Bodies Discovered in Mukuru Slums, Nairobi
Jul 13, 2024, 02:00 AM
Shock and outrage have gripped the residents of Mukuru slums in Nairobi following the discovery of multiple human bodies in the area. On Friday, nine bodies were retrieved from a dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, with four of them being mutilated female bodies. In a separate incident, six bodies were found in a quarry in the same area, also mutilated and stuffed in sacks. Eyewitnesses and rights groups reported at least eight bodies discovered in the quarry. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has confirmed that all six female victims were killed in a similar manner and stuffed in paper bags. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has given the police 21 days to investigate and submit a report on the findings.
