Maths teacher Rebecca Joynes, 30, has been found guilty of having sex with two teenage pupils. The verdict was reached after a two-week trial at Manchester Crown Court. Joynes was convicted of four counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust. The court heard that Joynes had sexual relationships with two 15-year-old boys, resulting in a pregnancy with one of them. Joynes, who was accused of grooming the students and given the nickname 'Bunda Becky', denied the charges, claiming she was lonely after a breakup and liked the attention. She reportedly used a Gucci belt to groom one of the students. She is set to be sentenced in July.
