Mary Fong Lau Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Vehicular Manslaughter Charges

Mary Fong Lau, 79, pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of vehicular manslaughter on Friday. Lau is accused of striking and killing a family of four at a bus shelter in San Francisco's West Portal neighborhood in March. During her first court appearance, SF Superior Court Judge Kenneth Wine forbade her from driving but refrained from putting her under house arrest as prosecutors requested. Lau remains free before trial.
