20-Year-Old Diego Diaz Hernandez Arrested in Fatal Santa Rosa Road Rage Crash Killing Woman
Oct 6, 2024, 08:00 PM
Authorities have arrested 20-year-old driver Diego Diaz Hernandez in connection with multiple intentional road rage crashes in the Santa Rosa area on Saturday afternoon, including one that resulted in the death of a woman in front of a North Bay pumpkin patch. The California Highway Patrol reports that Hernandez, believed to be under the influence, intentionally rammed his Mazda SUV into a Volkswagen SUV on Stony Point Road near Rohnert Park Expressway. This collision caused the Volkswagen to be hit by a Mercedes in the opposing lane. The woman passenger in the Volkswagen was killed, while a man and a child were hospitalized. Hernandez is being held on suspicion of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and DUI, and is suspected in causing several other crashes that day.
