Suspect in Fatal Fontana Pursuit Crash on Wednesday Captured After Hospital Escape

A suspect accused of killing an innocent driver during a police pursuit in Fontana on Wednesday has been captured after escaping from police custody at a Colton hospital. The suspect, who had crashed his Jeep into a Mustang while fleeing from a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer, was initially being treated at a San Bernardino County hospital. Authorities had launched a manhunt and released a photo of the 32-year-old suspect before he was successfully recaptured. The CHP identified the suspect during the search.
