Sep 26, 2024, 01:47 PM
Bitcoin mining company Hut 8 has announced the launch of its GPU-as-a-Service business, collaborating with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and AdvizeX. The service, which features a cluster of 1,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs and Cray supercomputers, is hosted at a Tier 3 data center in Chicago. This strategic expansion into AI computing aims to diversify Hut 8's compute layer by incorporating AI and cloud computing, thereby maximizing returns. The new service is already generating revenue with its first AI cloud developer fully online.
