Ukrainian Forces Capture Over 1,000 Russian POWs, Including Kadyrov’s Chechen Fighters, in Kursk
Aug 11, 2024, 05:45 PM
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured a significant number of Russian soldiers in the Kursk region. Reports indicate that over 1,000 Russian prisoners of war have been taken, including both conscripts and regular troops. Among those captured are members of the Akhmat unit, associated with Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, and several FSB officers. More than 50 of Kadyrov’s Chechen thugs were captured as they attempted to retreat. The Ukrainian 225th Assault Battalion played a crucial role in these operations. The captures occurred shortly after Russian troops were redeployed to stabilize the region.
