BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF Reaches $50 Billion AUM in 228 Days, 5x Faster Than Any Previous ETF

BlackRock Inc.'s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has surpassed $50 billion in assets under management (AUM) in just 228 days since its launch, making it the fastest ETF to reach this milestone in history, outpacing the previous record by more than five times. The ETF now holds over 500,000 bitcoins, equivalent to approximately $48 billion, and has seen significant inflows, including a $570.7 million worth of Bitcoin purchased on December 4. This rapid growth underscores the increasing institutional interest in Bitcoin, with IBIT now ranking among the top 40 ETFs overall out of nearly 3,900 ETFs.
