Apple Inc. is reportedly taking significant steps towards the production of the iPhone 17 Air, with Foxconn entering the new product introduction (NPI) phase. This phase involves design validation, prototype testing, and optimizing manufacturing and logistics processes. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature an ultra-thin design, potentially making it the slimmest iPhone yet at around 6mm thick. It is anticipated to include a 6.6-inch display, the A19 chip, and 8GB of memory, while possibly having a single 48-megapixel rear camera. Despite its slim profile, Apple is expected to maintain a competitive battery life, although specific details on how this will be achieved are not yet disclosed. The device is slated for release in late 2025 alongside other models in the iPhone 17 lineup.
