The game, which allowed players to take on the role of a Palestinian fighter during the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks and included scenarios of raiding Israeli Defense Force positions, was deemed controversial. Valve confirmed via email to the game's developer that the removal was due to a request from UK authorities, and country restrictions were applied. The UK government reportedly objected to the game's content, which involved players engaging in actions against Israeli Defense Force soldiers. The game's creator compared it to mainstream titles like Call of Duty, arguing it was not fundamentally different.
