35-Year-Old Jon Jacobo Charged with Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence in Mission District

Jon Jacobo, a former City Hall aide and rising star in San Francisco politics, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and domestic violence. The charges, announced by San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, relate to an incident in the Mission District in 2021. Jacobo, who was also an executive at an influential affordable housing organization, was arrested on August 5, 2024, by the Special Victims Unit and booked into San Francisco County Jail with a total bond of $2,000,000. The 35-year-old's arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow. The charges include rape by force or violence, forcible sexual assault, and sexual battery by restraint.
