Six people, including a 12-year-old girl and her 40-year-old mother, were shot in the Bronx on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. at 3544 White Plains Road in the Williamsbridge section. The mother and daughter were reportedly used as human shields by the intended targets of the shooting. The NYPD reported that the shooting involved two suspects who opened fire into a crowded convenience store, striking the victims. The four other victims were men aged between 18 and 21, all of whom sustained gunshot wounds to their arms and legs. All victims were transported to a local hospital and are in stable condition. Police are currently searching for the two suspects, described as Black males, one wearing a black Nike sweatsuit and the other a grey hoodie.
