Canada is set to unveil a long-awaited plan to cap emissions in the oil and gas sector. The new regulations, to be announced by Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault on Monday, will require oil and gas producers to cut greenhouse gas emissions by about one-third over the next eight years. However, the plan faces potential risks if the Bloc Québécois and New Democratic Party trigger an early election, Guilbeault warns.
