Sep 6, 2024, 08:30 PM
The Bee Cave Police Department has announced plans to implement a fully automated drone system, becoming the first law enforcement agency in Texas to integrate this level of technology into their operations. According to the police chief, the pilot program, known as 'AV8,' will test and develop autonomous drones that can fly up to 60 mph and call other drones to replace them when they need to charge. These drones are being tested in emergency situations to enhance police response and effectiveness, acting as a force multiplier.
