Russia Resumes Use of North Korean Missiles in Kyiv Attack, Six Explosions Reported
Aug 5, 2024, 08:27 PM
On July 31, Russia resumed its use of North Korean ballistic missiles against Ukraine, launching a KN-23 missile from Russian territory towards Bila Tserkva. The missile exploded mid-air over the Kyiv region, marking the first use of North Korean missiles in five months, according to Defense Express. Additionally, Russia launched multiple Iskander-M ballistic missiles at Kyiv, resulting in at least six explosions. Despite the intensity of the attack, no casualties or significant damage were reported as Ukraine's air defense successfully intercepted several missiles. The attack targeted defense facilities near Kyiv, including the Terminal shopping center in Brovary. Approximately 5-6 rockets were used in the attack.
