Wynn Resorts Gets UAE's First Gambling License for Ras Al Khaimah Casino Resort
Oct 5, 2024, 01:56 AM
Wynn Resorts has secured the first-ever commercial gaming operator's license in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant milestone in the country's efforts to open its doors to the gambling industry. The license, approved by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), allows Wynn to develop the Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The resort, expected to open in 2027, will bring regulations similar to U.S. jurisdictions to the UAE's emerging gambling market. This development signifies a major step forward for both Wynn Resorts and the UAE's gaming industry, establishing the nation's first legal casino.
