The Japanese government is set to allocate approximately ¥982 billion from its reserve funds to subsidize electricity, gas, and gasoline bills. This move, proposed by Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki and supported by Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi, aims to provide price relief amid rising utility costs. However, Suzuki has expressed concerns about the sustainability of such utility support in the long term. The government plans to spend around ¥980 billion on these subsidies.
