Indian Government Boosts Nutritional Support for TB Patients to ₹1,000 with ₹1,040 Crores Allocation

The Indian government has announced significant initiatives to boost nutritional support for tuberculosis (TB) patients. Under the Ni-Kshay Poshan Yojana, the monthly support for TB patients has been increased from ₹500 to ₹1,000. Additionally, an extra allocation of ₹1,040 crores has been sanctioned to enhance nutritional support. At a Mega Health Camp, nutritional kits were distributed to TB patients, showcasing community support. The Chief Medical Officer encouraged citizens and organizations to become Ni-Kshay Mitras to provide vital assistance. The Union Health Minister, J P Nadda, highlighted the importance of these measures in combating TB and ensuring better health outcomes for patients.
