Dec 11, 2024, 05:12 PM
Elon Musk has become the first person in history to surpass a net worth of $400 billion, reaching an estimated $442 billion, according to Bloomberg. His fortune has climbed significantly, boosted by increases in the valuations of his companies, particularly Tesla and SpaceX. Tesla shares have reached new all-time highs, increasing Musk's wealth by 66% since the November 5th U.S. presidential election. The company's market capitalization has risen by more than $470 billion during this period. SpaceX's valuation surged to $350 billion following a recent secondary share sale, in which it purchased $1.25 billion in stock from insiders at $185 per share, making it the most valuable private startup in the world. Musk's net worth increased by approximately $50 billion due to the SpaceX share sale.
