Crusoe Energy Systems, in collaboration with Blue Owl Capital and Primary Digital Infrastructure, has secured a $3.4 billion joint venture to construct a state-of-the-art AI data center in Abilene, Texas. The facility will feature a capacity of 206 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy and will be designed to host 100,000 B200 GPUs. The data center is expected to be operational in the first half of 2025, with a press release highlighting a 'record-setting construction timeline.' The center will be leased by Oracle and OpenAI, which will utilize the infrastructure for advanced AI applications, including the anticipated GPT-6 model.
