American Airlines Ends DEI Practices Following America First Legal Complaint, Joins United and Southwest
Dec 17, 2024, 07:01 PM
American Airlines has announced it will end its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) employment practices, including DEI quotas, following a federal civil rights complaint filed by America First Legal. The U.S. Department of Labor confirmed that the airline will cease race and sex-based discrimination in hiring and promotions. This move aligns American Airlines with other major carriers such as United and Southwest Airlines, which have also ended similar DEI practices. The decision comes in response to allegations of violations of nondiscrimination rules.
