MicroStrategy Buys 2,138 Bitcoins for $209 Million, Holdings Valued at $41.78 Billion

MicroStrategy has acquired an additional 2,138 bitcoins for approximately $209 million, at an average price of $97,837 per bitcoin, between December 23 and December 29, 2024. This latest purchase brings the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 446,400 BTC, acquired for approximately $27.9 billion at an average price of $62,428 per bitcoin, with the holdings valued at approximately $41.78 billion. The company has achieved a Bitcoin yield of 47.8% quarter to date and 74.1% year to date. MicroStrategy has been consistently adding to its Bitcoin holdings over the past eight weeks, marking the eighth consecutive week of purchases, during which it acquired 194,180 BTC. In total, the company has purchased 257,100 BTC in 2024, setting a new record for a public company in a single year. MicroStrategy has been funding these acquisitions through the sale of shares, having sold 592,987 shares between December 23 and December 29, 2024, for aggregate net proceeds of $209 million.
