Iranian President Pezeshkian Signs 20-Year Strategic Partnership Treaty with Putin on First Kremlin Visit

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Moscow on Friday for discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will include the signing of a 20-year strategic partnership treaty between the two nations. This visit marks Pezeshkian's first to the Kremlin since assuming the presidency and follows his official visit to Tajikistan, where he and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon oversaw the signing of 23 memoranda of understanding to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields. The discussions between Putin and Pezeshkian in Moscow are expected to focus on expanding cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, including in trade, investment, transport, logistics, and humanitarian spheres, as well as addressing current regional and international issues.
