Aug 1, 2024, 08:21 PM
Caesars Entertainment has announced the sale of its World Series of Poker (WSOP) brand to NSUS Group Inc., an investment group in the iGaming space, for $500 million. The transaction includes $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note due five years after the transaction's closing date. Despite the sale, Caesars retains the rights to host the flagship WSOP summer series on the Las Vegas Strip for the next 20 years and will continue to operate WSOP.com for some time. GG Poker, part of NSUS Group, will acquire the intellectual property. The sale is subject to regulatory approval.
