William Swetz Charged with Felony for Throwing Drink at Kim Foxx Near Her Home on Friday
Jun 24, 2024, 08:40 AM
Prosecutors have charged William Swetz, a Flossmoor man, with a felony for allegedly throwing a Big Gulp at Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx during a roadway dispute on Friday. According to court documents, Swetz threw a 'brown liquid substance from a drink cup' in Foxx's face and then accelerated his vehicle towards her near her home. Officials stated that Swetz did not know who Foxx was when he yelled at her to stop walking in the street. Judge Antara Rivera highlighted the 'most troubling' aspect of the allegations, noting the potential safety risks, especially during the COVID pandemic. Swetz has been released on the condition that he stays away from Foxx and appears in court.
