Kenya's National Assembly has voted to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on charges of self-enrichment, stirring ethnic hatred, abuse of office, and undermining the government. The motion, which included 11 charges, saw 281 MPs voting in favor, 44 against, and 1 abstention. Gachagua has denied the allegations. The impeachment bill now moves to the Senate for trial. If the Senate also votes to impeach, it would mark the second impeachment in Kenyan history.
