Ukrainian prosecutors have detained a Deputy Minister of Energy, Alexandr Heil, on charges of corruption in Kyiv. The official, along with others, allegedly accepted a $500,000 bribe from the head of a coal enterprise in western Ukraine. The bribe was reportedly in exchange for a promise to transfer coal mining equipment. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is involved in the investigation.
