Haaretz Reports Israeli Army and Shin Bet Murdered Gaza Doctor During Interrogation
Jun 18, 2024, 01:19 PM
Haaretz has reported that Dr. Iyad Al-Rantisi, the director of the Maternity and Women's Hospital in Beit Lahia, Gaza, was murdered last November during an interrogation by the Israeli army and Shin Bet. Dr. Al-Rantisi, who was also the head of the Obstetrics Gynecology department at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, was reportedly abducted from the hospital a week before his death. Testimonies received by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor three months ago indicated that he was subjected to severe torture. He had been missing for months since November.
