FBI Searches Home of NYPD Interim Commissioner Tom Donlon Amid Caban's Resignation
Sep 22, 2024, 05:49 AM
NYPD Interim Commissioner Tom Donlon, who previously held positions in the FBI, including Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's NY Counter-terrorism division, had his home searched by the FBI. The search, which took place last night, resulted in the seizure of documents related to his former FBI roles and not his current NYPD position. The search warrant is not believed to be connected to ongoing corruption investigations involving City Hall. The reason for the search, many years after Donlon's departure from the FBI, remains unclear. A spokesman for the FBI in New York declined to comment. This comes amid four different FBI investigations into the NYPD, which recently saw Commissioner Edward Caban resign.
