Two Gunmen Shoot Six in Bronx Bodega, Using 12-Year-Old Girl and Her Mother as Human Shields
Dec 31, 2024, 12:59 AM
Six people were shot in a Bronx bodega on Monday afternoon, including a 12-year-old girl and her 40-year-old mother, who were used as human shields by the intended targets of the shooting. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on White Plains Road in the Gun Hill section of the Bronx. Two gunmen opened fire, targeting a group of people outside the convenience store, before pursuing them inside. The mother was shot in the stomach, while her daughter sustained a leg injury. Four other men, aged between 18 and 21, were also wounded, with injuries to their arms and legs. The shooters fled the scene, and no arrests have been made. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
