Rookie quarterback Bo Nix made an impressive and poised debut in his first NFL playoff game, leading the Denver Broncos to an early 7-0 lead against the Buffalo Bills. On the opening drive, Nix connected with rookie wide receiver Troy Franklin on a 43-yard touchdown pass, throwing while under pressure. The pass, which traveled 53 yards in the air, marked the first playoff touchdown by a rookie quarterback-receiver duo since at least 2000. The touchdown was also the third deepest completion allowed by the Bills this season. The former Oregon teammates showcased their chemistry as the Broncos took an aggressive approach to start the game.
