Gregg Wallace Claims Allegations Come From 'Middle-Class Women of a Certain Age' Amid BBC Investigation
Dec 1, 2024, 06:25 AM
Gregg Wallace, the former host of the BBC's 'MasterChef', has responded to allegations of inappropriate behavior by claiming that the accusations come from 'middle-class women of a certain age' in a defiant Instagram video. Wallace stepped away from his role on 'MasterChef' earlier this week amid an external review of historical allegations of inappropriate sexual comments. The accusations against him include making 'lesbian jokes constantly', discussing spanking and threesomes, and sexually explicit comments while filming programs. A former contestant and producer have claimed that they reported Wallace to BBC bosses years ago, with complaints dating back to 2017. Kirstie Allsopp has also accused Wallace of making inappropriate comments within an hour of meeting him. The BBC has appointed a City law firm to lead the investigation into these allegations. Wallace's response has drawn criticism, with some suggesting it could end his television career.
