Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has reached a settlement with Pieces Technologies, a healthcare tech company, over the marketing and sale of its generative AI software. The investigation found that the company marketed and sold AI technology that did not perform as claimed. At least four major Texas hospitals had been providing their patients’ healthcare data in real-time to Pieces Technologies for its generative AI product to summarize.
