New York Magazine Places 31-Year-Old Olivia Nuzzi on Leave Over Relationship With 70-Year-Old RFK Jr.
Sep 20, 2024, 04:41 AM
New York Magazine has placed its 31-year-old Washington correspondent, Olivia Nuzzi, on leave following the revelation of her romantic relationship with 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The magazine stated that had it been aware of this relationship, Nuzzi would not have continued to cover Kennedy's presidential campaign. The relationship reportedly began after Nuzzi wrote a profile on Kennedy in November 2023. Both Nuzzi and Kennedy have stated that the relationship was emotional and digital, not physical. New York Magazine is conducting a third-party review to determine the final disciplinary action. The magazine expressed regret over this violation of readers' trust. Kennedy, who is married to actress Cheryl Hines, is also implicated in the controversy. Nuzzi is engaged to Politico’s Ryan Lizza.
