President-elect Donald Trump has officially nominated finance professor Michael Faulkender to serve as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department. Faulkender, a professor at the University of Maryland, previously served as Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy under Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin during Trump's first term, where he implemented a key pandemic-era relief program.
